One of the primary objectives of the VSSCC is to inform the community about stroke signs and symptoms and prevention. Members of the VSSCC submit Partner Activity Reports on a quarterly basis to document the community education performed across the state. The AHA white paper on establishment of stroke systems of care recommends that we increase visibility of stroke by promoting the message of stroke including primary prevention.

Next VSSTF Meeting Planned for October 19, 2011 Invited Speaker: Edie McRee Bowles, Executive Director of Bay Rivers Telehealth Alliance
The Virginia Stroke Systems Task Force is planning to hold its next quarterly meeting on October 19th, (locations and times for the meetings to be announced at a later date). Meetings are open to the public, but PLEASE RSVP AT LEAST ONE WEEK IN ADVANCE and indicate if you have any dietary restrictions so the VSS can accommodate all participants.
