Following the dictates of a new rule for determining payments for Medicare and Medicaid, participation in a database registry for stroke care, such as Get With the Guidelines - Stroke from the American Heart and American Stroke Association will be required for U.S hospitals. This rule also includes specific stroke care quality measures hospitals may be required to report for reimbursement.
