The efforts of the Virginia Stroke Systems received a strong boost in December with the convening of the one-day symposium, "Strategies for Using Technology to Improve Statewide Stroke Systems of Care."
Nearly 100 people from Virginia and a number of other states came together to review exciting stroke care technologies that are in place today and to develop relationships, knowledge and strategies for taking statewide stroke care to the next level in the future.
The event, which was held at the Center for Innovative Technology in Herndon, was hosted by the Virginia Telehealth Network (VTN) and sponsored by the American Telemedicine Association and the Virginia Department of Health.
